Beit Nurit

in collaboration with Tina Metsa

A new hospital building in Ajami, Jaffa. A project promoted from the CBP stage of transferring areas from a conservation building and until the planning and execution stage.

The proposed building includes two basement floors, three floors (including the ground floor) and a partial penthouse floor. The facade facing the street corresponds with typical Ajami facades in terms of openings, windows, balconies etc. The 3-floor facade facing the street symmetric with windows and balconies typical to residential properties in Ajami, and was designed in an attempt to fit in with this environment despite the different purpose of the building. The facade facing the street is a residential-scale facade with regression at the roof floor, in a way that assures fitting in with the environment and the CBP requirements of Ajami. The project has an interior patio which forms the center of life in the hospital, the day rooms and corridors are directed toward this patio.
